Low level laser therapy
Modern dentistry utilizes low-level lasers in tissue healing acceleration, pain alleviation, reducing inflammation and physiotherapy in the orofacial region. Low-level laser therapy (LLLT) is a non toxic, non invasive and provides instant relief and reduces healing duration by 30-40% and is very safe if applied by a trained practitioner.

Laser is an effective tool to increase comfort of dental treatment both on the chair and post operatively and increases efficiency and specificity of work.

Dental Wand

ARE YOU AFRAID OF DENTAL INJECTIONS ?

One of the most common forms of dental phobia is a fear of needles or injections. This type of phobia can make dental treatment very difficult as many types of treatment rely on anesthetic injections to numb the patient.

The aim of THE WAND is to remove the pain from injections.

Benefits of The Wand-

  1. The flow of anesthetics is computer controlled which removes the possibility of the injection being delivered accidentally fast.
  2. The wand looks more like a pen than a syringe. Compared to conventional syringes, the needle at its tip is very small and discrete. For patients who experience anxiety simply at the sight of the needle, the Wand can help ease their fears.
  3. The needle and the syringe are completely dispensable so there is no chance of cross contamination from reuse.

Chair lift

We care for our elderly and medically compromised, as well as differently abled patients and thus we know very well that a simple routine visit to the dentist can be very challenging for the individual and their family.

We at Dental Aesthetics provide a comfortable Chair Lift and wheelchair-accessible rooms for better patient comfort and overall experience.

OPG (Full Mouth X Ray)

An OPG is a panoramic or wide view x-ray, which displays all the teeth of the upper and lower jaw in a single frame. It demonstrates the number, position and growth of all the teeth including those that have not yet surfaced or erupted.

An OPG may also reveal problems with the teeth (decay)which may not be visible clinically intra-orally as well as problems with the jawbone and the temporomandibular joint .

It is also used as a diagnostic tool for the planning of orthodontic treatment, for assessment of root formation of teeth as well as position of the wisdom teeth .

In order to take an OPG you are asked to remove jewelry, eyeglasses, removable dentures or any metal objects that may obscure the images. You will be asked to stand with your face resting on a small shelf and to bite gently on a sterile mouth piece to steady your head. It is important to stay very still while the x-ray is taken. There is absolutely no discomfort during the procedure.

These are done digitally and can be easily mailed to the patients to upkeep their own records.

OPG should be avoided when pregnant.

Digital X- Rays

We at Dental Aesthetics use digital X-rays to better detect, diagnose, treat, and monitor oral conditions and diseases.

A dental X-ray, provides great detail and is used to

  • detect cavities,
  • check the status of developing teeth
  • monitor bone health.
  • to determine the fit of dental crowns or restorations, and the marginal integrity of tooth fillings.
  • aid in treating conditions such as periodontitis, advanced gum disease, and detecting endodontic lesions (abscess) and
  • for patient education

Another benefit of digital radiographs is that it can be transferred easily to patients and  other dentists  for record keeping and  insurance reimbursements.

X rays should be avoided when pregnant.
