Sleep dentistry is what sleep specialists and dentists diagnose to help people with sleep problems and help with easing/treating sleep apnea and snoring symptoms.

OBSTRUCTIVE SLEEP APNEA OR OSA

It occurs when tissue in the back of the throat collapses and blocks the airway while you’re sleeping, cutting the amount of oxygen delivered throughout the body. When blood-oxygen levels drop low enough, you momentarily wake up.

Snorers may also lose sleep, sometimes because their own loud honking rouses them, not to mention their partners too.

Symptoms that you might have OSA
  1. Always tired
  2. Loud snoring
  3. Episodes in which you stop breathing during sleep Gasping for air during sleep
  4. Awakening with a dry mouth
  5. Morning headache
  6. Difficulty staying asleep (insomnia)
  7. Excessive daytime sleepiness (hypersomnia)
  8. Difficulty paying attention while awake
  9. Irritability
