VENEER
What is a VENEER ?
Veneer is a thin layer of restorative material placed over a tooth surface.
Difference between Composite and Porcelain veneers-
Composite Veneers | Porcelain Veneers | |
1. | Directly built and bonded on the teeth chair side | Indirectly fabricated in the dental lab and then cemented on the tooth |
2. | Lesser time as can be done in a single visit | Minimum 2 visits are required |
3. | Lasts 4–8 years | Lasts 10–15 years |
4. | Non stain resistant | Stain resistant |
5. | Reversible in most cases | Irreversible |
6. | Cheaper | More expensive |
Gummy Smile Correction:
Laser assisted Gum contouring is a minimally invasive cosmetic dental procedure in which excess gum tissue is reshaped using a dental laser. At Dental Aesthetics have both the hard tissue and soft tissue laser, making it possible for the patient to NOT go under the knife/blade or through any invasive surgical procedure. This helps with better postoperative patient comfort.
The gums are sculpted by removing excess gum tissue to reposition the gum line so that more of your tooth is visible. Gum contouring is a long-term solution.
Correction of dark pigmented gums:
Conscious to smile because of your dark gums?
You can get rid of these dark gums by gum depigmentation procedure where the layer of dark gums is lazed, and healthy pink gums replace them.
We at Dental Aesthetics use Laser gum depigmentation for better patient experience and a more relaxed and painless treatment.
Laser gum depigmentation uses laser energy to peel off the gingival epithelium. This technique is minimally invasive causing less tissue loss and minimizes postoperative complications like pain, swelling, and infection. Laser causes less bleeding, which improves visibility at the surgical site. Chances of relapse are after six months to a year as the cause, melanin, is secreted in the body.
