COSMETIC DENTISTRY refers to a host of dental treatments designed to enhance the smile and correct chipped, cracked, discoloured and unevenly spaced teeth. From porcelain veneers to tooth-colored fillings, patients can choose from a variety of cosmetic dentistry solutions to restore the health and vitality of their smile.

SMILE ANALYSIS - As opposed to other plastic surgeries, dental temporization can give the patient a chance to preview their new smile, live with it for a while, show it to their family and friends and alter it as necessary. It is all digital, pre-operative and mock up (temporary) photographs are taken and a presentation is showed to the patient for a feel and to check on any visual tensions. On an accepted design permanent solution is done with the help of PORCELAIN VENEERS or COMPOSITE VENEERS.

VENEERS -  A veneer is a thin layer of restorative material placed over a tooth surface, either to protect a damaged tooth surface or to improve the aesthetics of a tooth. There are two types of veneers in dentistry - composite and dental porcelain. A composite veneer may be directly built up in the mouth. In contrast, a porcelain veneer is indirectly fabricated and later bonded to the tooth using a resin cement.

Characteristics of Teeth

DENTAL BONDING (Tooth Coloured Fillings) - are tooth colored composite resins materials matched to the natural shade of your teeth. Tooth colored “WHITE” fillings are an attractive alternative to silver amalgam fillings. The bonding material can then be polished and shaped to look like the rest of the teeth.

COSMETIC RESIN BONDING - is a time tested technology that delivers predictable and satisfactory results.

PORCELAIN INLAYS/ONLAYS - are durable and attractive restorations used to repair cracked or otherwise damaged teeth. Inlays and onlays require less tooth reduction than fillings or crowns and are bonded to the tooth enhancing its strength.

TOOTH JEWELLERY - Unlike a tattoo or body piercing the tooth jewellery can be easily removed or changed by a dentist and your tooth will not be damaged. The procedure is totally painless and the tooth is not damaged in any way. The tooth jewellery does not cause any harm to the lip, cheek or gum.

LASERS - are innovative technologies such as the diode laser has provided considerable benefit to dental patients and professionals. Facilitating efficient cutting and subsequent coagulation is utilized in both aesthetic enhancement of the smile and treatment management of soft tissue.
