Dentures are removable artificial teeth and gums to replace missing teeth. Dentures are broadly classified as full or partial.

Dentures are further sub-categorized into:

  • Partial Dentures: Partial dentures are used when more than one or two teeth are missing
  • Cast partial denture is a type of partial denture comprising a cast metal framework with acrylic resin prosthetic teeth. The advantages of cast framework partial dentures toward the resin based dentures are that they are more comfortable to the patient and are more durable
  • Flexi dentures are made of high-tech thermoplastic material and have  no attachments or clips that are needed to hold them in place, resulting in a denture that’s more flexible
  • Complete Dentures: Complete dentures replace all of your natural teeth
  • Immediate Dentures: These dentures are created before the teeth that are being replaced with dentures have been removed and are used immediately after tooth extraction
  • Implant-Supported Dentures: Dentures which are anchored in position by dental implants. A dental implant is a permanent fixture in the jawbone and can be used to replace any number of teeth
